Range War. Carmody ran a big Montana spread for an Eastern syndicate. he was so tough, so fast with his gun that he thought he could stay out of the trouble between the big ranchers and the johnny-come-lately squatters. Then somebody tried to shoot him in the back on the road to Miles City - and he knew he was involved whether he liked it or not. The powerful ranchers made the situation worse when they brought in a hired killer Al Menafee. Carmody didn't want a showdown with anybody, but he was the kind of man who would face anything he had to. The whole territory was getting ready to blow sky-high. And Carmody, the quiet man from Texas, was right in the middle.
